Raiders Placing LB Cory James On IR, Promote DL Darius Latham

Vic Tafur of the Athletic is reporting that the Raiders have placed LB Cory James on injured reserve Wednesday.

  • Michael Gehlken reports that the Raiders have also promoted DL Darius Latham to their active roster and signed DE Joby Saint Fleur to their practice squad.

The Raiders’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. WR Keon Hatcher
  2. CB Breon Borders
  3. DE Fadol Brown
  4. G Jordan Simmons
  5. TE Pharaoh Brown
  6. C James Stone
  7. DB Tevin Mitchel
  8. RB Elijah Hood
  9. LB Brady Sheldon
  10. DE Joby Saint Fleur

James, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.47 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2017, James appeared in 10 games for the Raiders and recorded 56 tackles, no sacks or interceptions, a forced fumble and a pass defense.
