The Oakland Raiders announced Wednesday that they’ve released WR Ryan Grant and promoted LB Justin Phillips to their active roster.
Grant, 28, is a former fifth-round pick by the Redskins out of Tulane in 2014. He signed a four-year, $2,433,612 rookie contract and tested the open market for the first time in his NFL career last year.
Grant failed a physical for the Ravens last year after agreeing to a four-year, $29 million deal. Afterward, he took visits with the Raiders and Colts before signing in Indianapolis on a one-year, $5 million deal.
The Raiders signed Grant to a one-year deal worth up to $2.5 million this past April.
In 2019, Grant has appeared in two games for the Raiders and caught four passes for 14 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
