Raiders Sign K Sebastian Janikowski To A Four-Year Extension

The Oakland Raiders have announced that they have signed K Sebastian Janikowski to a four-year extension.

  • Tom Pelissero reports Janikowski will remain the highest-paid kicker in the league.
  • Pelissero adds that he’ll receive $8 million guaranteed in first two years of new deal.
  • Janikowski’s total contract comes in just short of $19 million and will keep him under team control through the 2017 season, per Pelissero.

Janikowski, 35, made it known that he wanted to finish his career with the Raiders, so it appears as though he has accomplished this. Janikowski was entering the final year of his contract and is set to make $3.8 million for the 2013 season.

Janikowski converted 91.2 percent of his field goals last season, along with 6-of-9 from 50-plus yards out.
