Raiders In Talks With Veteran CB Leon Hall

Vic Tafur reports that the Raiders are in talks with veteran CB Leon Hall about possibly playing nickel corner for them.

Tafur explains that the Raiders brought back veteran S Reggie Nelson for his leadership, toughness, knowledge of Paul Guenther’s defensive scheme and the same applies to Hall.

This is the first reported interest in Hall since the free agent market officially opened.

Hall, 33, is a former first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2007. He spent nine years of his NFL career with the Bengals before signing a one-year contract with the Giants for the 2016 season.

Hall was on and off of the 49ers’ roster last season but managed to finish out the year in San Francisco. He’s currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Hall appeared in nine games for the 49ers and recorded 16 tackles, no interceptions and one pass defense.
