Raiders Worked Out Four Free Agents

According to Adam Caplan, the Oakland Raiders worked out four players on Wednesday including LS Andrew East, DT A.J. Francis, DT Joey Mbu, and DT Clinton McDonald.

Of this group, the Raiders signed McDonald to their active roster.

Mbu, 25, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Houston back in 2015. He was on and off of the Falcons’ practice squad over his first two seasons in the NFL before the Redskins signed him to their taxi squad during the 2016 season.

Mbu returned to Washington on a futures contract last year but he was once again waived at the start of the regular season. The Colts later signed him to their practice squad and eventually called him up in November. Unfortunately, the Colts waived him shortly after this year’s draft.

The Packers signed him back in June but waived him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.

In 2017, Mbu appeared in seven games for the Colts and recorded three tackles and no sacks.
