Rams Designate DT A’Shawn Robinson To Return

The Rams announced Wednesday they have designated DT A’Shawn Robinson to return.

Robinson has been on the NFI list since the start of camp but now the team will have some time to see him practice before making a decision on whether to add him to the active roster.

Robinson, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Lions back in 2016. He played out the final year of his four-year, $5.234 million contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted before signing with the Rams.

Los Angeles signed him to a two-year, $17 million contract back in March.

In 2019, Robinson appeared in 13 games for the Lions and recorded 40 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, two recoveries and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 95 interior defensive lineman out of 114 qualifying players.
