Rams Waive Rookie K Sam Sloman

The Rams announced Tuesday they have waived rookie K Sam Sloman.

Los Angeles had just taken Sloman in the seventh round of this past year’s draft. But the rookie has struggled and the team already has his replacement, Kai Forbath, on the active roster.

Sloman is a candidate to return to the practice squad, per Jourdan Rodrigue.

Sloman, 23, was drafted in the seventh round by the Rams out of Miami (Ohio) in 2020. He signed a four-year, $3.37 million rookie deal that included a $75,492 signing bonus.

In 2020, Sloman has appeared in seven games for the Rams and made 8-11 field goal attempts (72.7 percent) to go with 18-21 extra point attempts (85.7 percent).
