Pro Football Talk reports that the WR Mario Manningham has agreed to a two-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers.
Previous reports suggest that the Rams were in the lead for Manningham but the 49ers ultimately won out. Now that they’ve added Randy Moss and Manningham, it would essentially change their strategy for the early rounds of the upcoming draft. Now they could look to add a conrnerback or even a tight end like Coby Fleener.
Manningham will certainly get more playing time San Francisco but the attention turns to the quarterback position as the 49ers are currently one of the finalists for Peyton Manning.

Paul Schwartzย of the New York Post reports that the St Louis Rams are currently working out the details on a contract agreement with Giants WR Mario Manningham.
Rumors surfaced last night that a deal with St Louis could be coming in the very near future. So far the Rams have yet to address the receiver position despite the fact that it’s one of their more pressing needs. St Louis has been very active in free agency thus far so adding Manningham would most likely be the last decent contract that they hand out.
We’ll have more on this as the news becomes available.
