Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon Expected To Miss 4 Weeks With Torn MCL

Adam Schefter reports that Ravens’ fourth-round RB Kenneth Dixon is expected to miss four weeks after sustaining a torn MCL injury.

  • Schefter adds that Dixon will not require surgery on his knee.

Dixon went down with the injury during the team’s preseason victory over the Lions on Saturday. There was word that he was gaining ground on the depth chart, so this is an obvious setback.

Dixon, 22, was selected in the fourth-round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Ravens. He signed a four-year, $2.723 million rookie contract that included a $383,392 signing bonus. He is set to make a base salary of $450,000 for 2016.

During his college career, Dixon recorded 4,483 rushing yards (5.6 YPC) on 802 attempts and scored 72 touchdowns. He also caught 87 receptions for 969 yards (11.1 YPC) for 15 touchdowns.
