The Baltimore Ravens signed TE Visanthe Shiancoe to a one-year deal.
Clearly, the loss of Dennis Pitta forced the Ravens to bring in some additional at tight end. Shiancoe, 33, has had success in the past as a receiving tight end, but it is hard to say what he offers at this point in his career. Ed Dickson will most likely be asked to replace Pitta as their No. 1 tight end.
Shiancoe was with the Patriots for a portion of the 2012 season, but only saw 59 snaps all year before being released.
