Ravens Trade Mark Clayton To The Rams

In order to free up space for the newly acquired T.J. Houshmandzadeh, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that the Raven have sent Mark Clayton to the Rams for a “late-round considerations.”

Clayton was a former first-round pick who hasn’t played up to his draft position but should still be an upgrade to Laurent Robinson. Acquiring more play-makers for rookie quarterback Sam Bradford should help with the young quarterbacks development.

The Rams offense has shown some promise this preseason and adding Clayton no doubt helps the teams chances of getting out of the NFC West cellar this season.
