This is interesting as Boone opted to retire from the NFL a few years ago before announcing that he was open to returning to the league this past summer.
Boone, 33, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in 2009. After seven years in San Francisco, Boone signed a four-year, $26.8 million contract that includes $10 million guaranteed with the Vikings as a free agent.
Boone was set to make base salaries of $6.6. million over the remainder of the contract when the Vikings cut him loose as they cut their roster down to 53 players in 2017. From there, he signed on with the Cardinals before retiring.
For his career, Boone has appeared in 105 over the course of eight seasons, making 86 starts.
