Ravens Waive RB Jeremy Langford, Place DB Sheldon Price On Injured Reserve

The Baltimore Ravens announced Saturday that they’ve promoted RB Alex Collins and  CB Tony McRae to their active roster and waived RB Jeremy Langford.

Langford, 25, was taken with the No. 106 overall pick in the fourth round of last year’s NFL draft by the Bears. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.139 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season when the Bears cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

The Ravens signed Langford to their practice squad soon after and just recently called him up.

In 2016, Langford appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 62 rushing attempts for 200 yards (3.2

Price, 26, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in 2013. He was on an off of the Colts’ active roster for two years before he was waived with an injury settlement in November of 2015.

The Ravens later signed Price to their practice squad before calling him up towards the end of the 2016 season and brought him back on an exclusive rights contract last year.

Baltimore decided to re-sign him over the offseason after he finished his one-year deal.

In 2016, Price appeared in four games but did not record a statistic.
