Ravens Worked Out Six Including WR Eli Rogers

The Baltimore Ravens brought in six players for tryouts on Monday including DE Jihad Ward and WR Eli Rogers, according to Jamison Hensley

  1. WR Sean Modster
  2. WR/PR Tommylee Lewis
  3. RB/PR Marcus Murphy
  4. WR/PR Eli Rogers
  5. P/K Ryan Santos
  6. DE Jihad Ward

Of this group, the Ravens signed Modster to their practice squad and Ward to their active roster.

Rogers, 26, wound up signing on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in 2015. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1,580,000 contract with the Steelers before returning to the team on a one-year contract last summer.

Rogers returned to the Steelers in March on a one-year contract but was released coming out of the preseason.

In 2018, Rogers appeared in three games for the Steelers and caught 12 passes for 79 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Ward, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Raiders back in 2016. He was in the third year of his four-year, $5.539 million contract when the Raiders traded him to the Cowboys for WR Ryan Switzer.

Dallas wound up waiving Ward coming out of the preseason last year and he later signed on to the Colts’ practice squad. Indianapolis promoted him to their active roster soon after before cutting him loose last week.

In 2018, Ward has appeared in six games for the Colts and recorded four tackles and three sacks.
