Redskins Choose To Bench Rex For John Beck

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweets that the Washinton Redskins have made the decision to start John Beck over Rex Grossman following his four interception performance that led to a Philadelphia Eagles win.

John Beck looked like the favorite to win the job at the start of the season but head coach Mike Shanahan must have felt that Grossman was playing better at the time. Shanahan is know for his willingness to make changes at key positions so there’s still a chance that we could Grossman again this season but Beck has at least a few games to show what he can do.

Beck gets the Carolina Panthers this weekend who are giving up an average of 27.2 points per game. It’s hard to get a better first game match up than that.
