Redskins DT Jonathan Allen Sprains MCL, Considered Week-To-Week

According to Ian Rapoport, the Redskins believe DT Jonathan Allen suffered a sprained MCL in Sunday’s game against the Eagles.

Allen is scheduled to have an MRI to confirm, but Rapoport says the team considers him week-to-week and expects him to “miss some time.”

Allen, 24, was selected in the first round in 2017 out of Alabama. He signed a four-year, $11.596 million contract that included a $6.573 million signing bonus.

Allen stands to make base salaries of $1.51 million and $2.04 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Allen appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins and recorded 61 total tackles and eight sacks.
