Redskins Face Tough Decision With LaRon Landry

The Washington Times takes a look at Redskins predicament regarding free agent SS LaRon Landry.

Unfortunately for both Landry and the Redskins, he suffered an Achilles tendon injury which could require surgery but Landry has elected to rest it rather than undergo surgery much to the dismay of the team.

Still the team needs help at the safety position which leaves them with three options. Either they negotiate a long-term which Landry is obviously seeking, use their franchise tag which could be as high as $9 million, or allow him to walk.

Non of these options are all to appealing, mainly because he’s currently injured and there’s no guarantee that he be ready by the start of the season.

On top of that FS O.J. Atogwe has been dealing with injuries of his own and could end up being a cap casualty only complicating matters further.

We have Landry listed as the #38 best available free agent in out Top 50 Free Agents list.
