Redskins Interested In DT Bennie Logan, But No Visit Scheduled

According to John Keim of ESPN, the Redskins still have interest in free agent DT Bennie Logan, but no visit scheduled at this point in time.

Washington has recently met with Johnathan Hankins and Sylvester Williams and was in on Muhammad Wilkerson before he signed with the Packers, so they’re clearly in the market for some help at the position.

Regarding Logan, this is the first reported interest in him since the free agent market officially opened.

Last year, the Redskins met with Logan in free agency, but he wound up agreeing to a deal with the Chiefs.

Logan, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Eagles back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3.032 million contract before signing a one-year, $8 million contract with the Chiefs last year.

Logan is once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Logan has appeared in 15 games for the Chiefs and recorded 52 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 94 interior defensive lineman out of 122 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
