Redskins Place CB Chase Minnifield On I.R. & Promote DB Kenny Okoro

The Washington Redskins have placed CB Chase Minnifield on season-ending injured reserve and promoted DB Kenny Okoro from their practice squad, per Mike Jones.

Minnifield, 25, signed on with Washington as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia back in 2012. He was signed to the team’s active roster in September and has appeared in seven games this season while recording four tackles.

There’s a good chance that Minnifield will clear waivers on Monday and could be signed to the team’s practice squad later in the week.
