The Washington Redskins announced Tuesday that they’ve placed TE Jerome Cunningham on injured reserve and signed FB Michael Burton to their active roster.
Cunningham, 28, originally signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Connecticut Stat back in 2014. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster that year, but was later added to the Giants practice squad.
Cunningham had stints with the Jets and Titans before signing on with the Lions last year. He was on and off of their active roster before eventually being released last month and eventually signing on with the Redskins.
In 2018, Cunningham has appeared in two games, but has yet to record a statistic.
