Redskins Place WR Robert Davis On IR, Sign WR Dan Williams III

The Washington Redskins announced Monday that they’ve placed WR Robert Davis on injured reserve and signed WR Dan Williams III to a contract.

Davis recently suffered a broken leg and torn LCL, so this move was expected.

Davis, 23, is a sixth-round pick by the Redskins out of Georgia State in the 2017 NFL Draft. He is entering the second year of his four-year, $2.53 million rookie contract and set to earn a base salary of $555,000 this season.

He has appeared in one career game for Washington.

During his four-year college career, Davis recorded 222 receptions for 3,391 yards receiving (15.3 YPC) and 17 touchdowns.
