Redskins Placing S DeAngelo Hall & LB Houston Bates On PUP List

John Keim of ESPN reports that Redskins S DeAngelo Hall (ACL) and LB Houston Bates will both open camp on the active/PUP list.

Hall, 33, is a former first-round pick of the Falcons back in 2004. After four years in Atlanta, Hall joined the Redskins for the 2008 season and has spent the past nine years in Washington.

Hall is in the final year of his four-year, $17 million contract that includes $5.4 million guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $4.25 million for the 2017 season when he agreed to a pay cut last month.

In 2016, Hall was limited to appearing in just three games and recording 16 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense for the Redskins.
