Redskins Placing TE Niles Paul On Injured Reserve

Redskins HC Jay Gruden announced Monday that they’re placing TE Niles Paul on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

Paul, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2011. He’s currently in the second year of his three-year, $6 million contract that includes $2.25 million guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $1.25 million for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Paul has appeared in eight games for the Redskins and caught two passes for 27 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
