Redskins Re-Sign RB Kenny Hilliard To Practice Squad

The Washington Redskins officially re-signed RB Kenny Hilliard to their practice squad on Thursday.

The Redskins’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. OL Anthony Fabiano
  2. NT Ondre Pipkins
  3. WR Keenan Reynolds
  4. OT John Kling
  5. OT Cameron Jefferson
  6. LB Alex McCalister
  7. DB Orion Stewart
  8. DE Tavaris Barnes
  9. RB Kenny Hilliard

Hilliard, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Texans back in May of 2015. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad at the start of the season.

The Texans elected to bring Hilliard back on a future/reserve contracts each of the past two years but he was cut loose a few weeks after this year’s NFL draft. The Redskins signed him to a contract this summer and waived him coming out of the preseason.

Hilliard returned to the Redskins last week but was cut loose a few days ago.

Hillard has yet to appear in an NFL game.
