Redskins Sign DT T.Y. McGill, Cut Three

The Redskins announced on Tuesday they have signed DT T.Y. McGill to the active roster.

Washington also waived TE J.P. Holtz and CB Greg Stroman, the latter with an injury designation. Practice squad LB Darrell Williams was also released.

McGill, 26, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State back in 2015. He lasted just a few months in Seattle before he was claimed off of waivers by the Colts.

McGill had had brief stints with the Browns, Chiefs, Chargers and Eagles before the Chargers claimed him off waivers near the end of 2018. Los Angeles waived McGill at the end of the preseason this year.

In 2018, McGill appeared in two games and recorded three tackles and no sacks.
