Redskins Work Out QBs Tajh Boyd & Dominique Davis

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Washington Redskins brought in quarterbacks Tajh Boyd  and Dominique Davis for workouts this week.

  • Aaron Wilson adds that Washington also brought in LB James Gayle for a visit and worked out DE Carlos Gray, WR Jamar Howard, WR Darius Reynolds and DT Lakendrick Ross.

Boyd was taken the sixth round of this year’s NFL draft by the New York Jets. However, he was unable to make the team’s final 53-man roster and was released just before the start of the season.

Boyd later signed a contract with the Florida Blacktips of the FXFL.

During his four-year career at Clemson, Boyd throw for 11,904 yards and completed 64.3 percent of his passes to go along with 107 touchdowns and 39 interceptions.

Davis, 25, originally signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina back in 2012. He wound up appearing in one game for the Falcons during the 2013 season and completed five or seven attempts for 34 yards.

He was suspended by the NFL for one game back in August.
