Scott Smith of Buccaneers.com reports that the Buccaneers also signed FB/TE Josh Baker on Tuesday.
- Earlier in the day, David Canter, the agent for former Dolphins FB Jorvorskie Lane, announced via his Twitter account that his client has signed with the Buccaneers.
It seems likely that the two new additions will have to compete for one roster spot during training camp.
Baker, 27, signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Northwest Missouri State back in 2011. He unfortunately suffered at torn right ACL in 2012 that ended his season. The Jets would later waive him in February of last year.
He sat out the entire 2013 season, so he’ll have a lot to prove in the coming months.
