Report: Free Agent CB Mike Jenkins Visiting Cardinals Tuesday

Update:

Kent Somers reports that free agent CB Mike Jenkins is visiting the Cardinals on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers met with Jenkins on Monday, so there is at least a small market developing for him as we head into the second week of free agency.

Jenkins, 28, was a former first-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys where he spent the first five years of his NFL career before signing a one-year contract the Raiders last season.

The Cardinals could really some depth at corner, and there is a chance that Jenkins could come at a reasonable price, so we’ll have to see if anything comes of this news in the next few weeks.

He appeared in 15 games in 2013 and totaled 65 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a recovery. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 66 cornerback in the league last year.
