Cardinals Re-Sign S Rashad Johnson, Not Greg Toler

Kent Somers reports that the Cardinals have not re-signed CB Greg Toler and he is instead prepared to hit the open market tomorrow.

Tim Ring has since tweeted out a correction.

Toler should have a decent market in the coming days. We have him listed as the No. 94 best available player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.

Tim Ring reports that the Cardinals have reached a three-year agreement with free agent CB Greg Toler.

This comes shortly after Arizona reached a deal with S Rashad Johnson on a three-year contract.

Toler, 28, was solid for the Cardinals last season, but only played a limited number of snaps. He was likely to find a good deal of interest on the open market, so it’s not surprising to see them move quickly to prevent extra competition.

Kent Somers reports that the Cardinals have re-signed free agent S Rashad Johnson to a three-year deal.

Johnson, 27, was mentioned as one of the Cardinals top priorities this offseason, especially after they recently released Adrian Wilson last week.

There’s still a chance that they could involved in the bidding for a top safety like Dashon Goldson in the coming days.
