David Canter reports that the Kansas City Chiefs have told Romeo Crennel that he will not be brought back as head coach next season.

Crennel had no chance of remaining with the Chiefs beyond this season, but it seems like they’re prepared to keep GM Scott Pioli in place. Rumors have already been circulating that Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz could be at the top of the Chiefs short list for possible replacements.
