Cowboys Place ILB Sean Lee On Season-Ending IR

The Dallas Cowboys have officially placed ILB Sean Lee on season-ending injured reserve after it was determined that his toe injury was serious enough to require surgery.

ESPN Dallas reports that the Cowboys have since signed LB Ernie Sims to add some depth at the position. Dan Connor will step in and try to replace one of the leagues best players at the position.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Dallas Cowboys ILB Sean Lee is likely done for the rest of the season after he suffered what is being called a “significant” toe injury.

Lee will have to undergo surgery at some point in the near future.

This is definitely a huge loss for the Cowboy’s defense. Lee has quickly become one of the best inside linebackers in league. Pro Football Focus actually has him rated as the No. 2 inside linebacker in the league behind only NaVorro Bowman. Thankfully for Dallas, they signed Dan Conner during the offseason, so he’ll have to do his best to solidify the position.
