Report: Falcons In Active Trade Talks, Could Be Targeting A Pass Rusher

Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff tells Rich Hollenberg of the NFL Network that they are in “active discussions” with teams regarding a potential trade.

  • Hollenberg previously mentioned that his “sense” is that they are targeting a pass rusher.
  • Meanwhile, Ian Rapoport reports that it “appears more likely” that they trade for the No. 4 overall pick with the Browns and take Buffalo LB Khalil Mack.

The Falcons were reportedly trying to move up to No. 1 overall, but the Texans asking price was reportedly high enough that it basically priced everyone out of the market.

The Rams are reportedly looking to trade down, so they could be a match for the Falcons as moving up to No. 2 overall would allow them to take Mack.

Atlanta still has the opportunity to come away with a solid offensive tackle if they stand pat at No. 6 overall.
