Report: Titans Interested In DE Shaun Phillips & ILB Jameel McClain

Update:

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that the Titans remain interested in Broncos free agent DE/LB Shaun Phillips and free agent ILB Jameel McClain.

Shaun Phillips

Phillips, 32, was signed to an extremely low contract last season and was without a doubt of the biggest steals in free agency.

Phillips produced 37 tackles, 10 sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles. He also helped to mitigate the loss of Von Miller at the start of the season, which isn’t exactly easy to do.

Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 18 overall defensive end in a 4-3 system last season.

Jameel McClain

McClain has already met with the Bills, Vikings and Giants since being released by Baltimore.

McClain, 28, was released for cap relief as the team was working on extensions for TE Dennis Pitta and LT Eugene Monroe. Last year, he totaled 52 tackles and a forced fumble over the course of 10 games.

Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 34 inside linebacker in the league last season.
