Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that former Redskins C Will Montgomery will visit with the Broncos early next week.
- Klis mentions that Montgomery would likely replace Manny Ramirez as the team’s center with Ramirez returning to left guard now that Zane Beadles has signed with the Jaguars.
- The Redskins informed Montgomery of his release on Friday.
Montgomery, 31, was actually a pretty decent center last season, so it was at least a little surprising to see Washington cut him in recent days.
Pro Football Focus had Montgomery down for playing 1172 snaps last season and grading out as the No. 15 center in league last season. He was a solid run-blocker, according to their ratings.
