ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Patriots have reached an agreement withย WR Brandon LaFell.

- Ian Rapoport reports thatย LaFell is expected to receive a three-year contract worth $11 million.
Recent reports mentioned that LaFell was in talks with the Panthers about a possible return, but the Patriots were looking to bring in another receiver.
The former third-round pick of the Panthers has yet to develop into the kind of player many thought he was capable of becoming, but he is coming off of a respectable 2013 season.
Last year, LaFell appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and caught 49 passes forย 627 yards receiving and five touchdowns.
Pro Football Focusย has him rated as the No. 93 receiver in the league last year.
