Report: Seahawks Bring In Three RBs For Workouts Saturday

 

Aaron Wilson reports that the Seahawks brought in three running backs for workouts on Saturday including: Orwin Smith,  William Powell and Phillip Tanner.

  • Seahawks also placed RB Marshawn Lynch on reserve/did not report list, as he’s holding out for new contract.

Tanner, 25, is the most notable of the three players. He signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of  Middle Tennessee State back in 2011. He has appeared in 39 regular season games over the course of his three-year NFL career and has totaled 149 yards rushing on 56 carries (2.7 YPC) and two touchdowns.

Powell, 26, signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State in 2011. He has appeared in 13 games and ran for 216 yards on 57 carries (3.7 YPC) and no touchdowns.

Smith, 23, was on the Packers’ practice squad during the 2013 season, but he was put on waivers a few months ago.

At Georgia Tech, Smith ran for 1,839 yards on 198 carries (9.3 YPC) and scored a total of 42 touchdowns over the course of four years.
