Report: Josh Cribbs Will Visit With The Lions Next

Lions

  • Jason La Canfora reports that free agent WR/KR Josh Cribbs will visit with the Lions after his meeting with the Giants concluded on Thursday.

Giants

  • Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that Cribbs’ next visit will be with the New York Giants.
  • The Giants reportedly showed interest in Cribbs after WR Domenik Hixon signed with the Panthers a few months ago.

Jets

  • Pro Football Talk reports that Cribbs visited the Jets on Wednesday, but left New York without a contract.
  • Manish Mehta reports that Cribbs did discuss parameters of a deal with the Jets, but there was no formal offer made.

Raiders

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Cribbs passed a physical for the Raiders on Wednesday and Oakland offered him a contract.
  • Aaron Wilson reports that Cribbs visited with the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday.

Other Notes:

  • Mike Garafolo adds that Cribbs has “unspecified” visits lined up as well.
  • Mary Kay Cabot reports that Cribbs is healthy and currently has interest from “several teams.”
  • Cabot adds that the Browns are not an option for Cribbs despite rumors that have suggested as much.

Earlier in the offseason, Cribbs was reportedly close to an agreement with the Cardinals, but his recovery from a torn meniscus ultimately forced Arizona to hold off on a deal.

Other teams that have been rumored to have interest in Cribbs include the Buccaneers and Lions. Few players have interest from multiple teams, so there’s a good chance that interest will pick up in the coming days.

We have Cribbs listed as the No. 18 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.
