Report: Steelers Reach An Agreement With C Fernando Velasco

Adam Caplan reports that the Steelers have reached an agreement with former Titans C/G Fernando Velasco.

This comes just a day after Pittsburgh lost starting center Maurkice Pouncey for the season after he suffered a torn right ACL and MCL. Steelers G David DeCastro was actually responsible for the injury after he dove right into Pouncey’s knee.

Velasco, 28, was a surprising cut by the Titans, so the Steelers have to feel pretty good that a decent player was available at this point in the years. Last season, Velasco played in all 16 games for the Titans and actually graded out as the No. 11 center in the league by Pro Football Focus.
