Report: Vikings Re-Sign DT Fred Evans

Pro Football Talk reports that the Vikings have re-signed DT Fred Evans on Thursday.

  • PFT adds that Evans receives a one-year contract.

Evans, 30, appeared in 14 games and totaled 20 tackles and a forced fumble for the Vikings in 2013.

According to Pro Football Focus, Evans graded out as the No. 46 defensive tackle in the league and was a solid run-defender.

Minnesota has shown some interest in available interior defensive lineman and have already added Linval Joseph this offseason, so they are clearly focused on retooling their defensive line for next season.
