Saints Open To Trading LB Hau’oli Kikaha?

According to Ian Rapoport, a possible name worth keeping an eye on in the coming weeks in regards to a potential candidate is Saints LB Hau’oli Kikaha.

The Saints have been active in the trade market, dealing away Adrian Peterson to the Cardinals for a 2018 sixth-round pick.

A report from earlier in the day mentioned that New Orleans actually had a trade in place for LB NaVorro Bowman before the 49ers ultimately released him, so the Saints are clearly a team to watch for potential deals over the next two weeks.

Kikaha could be an intriguing pass rusher for some team, but there are concerns about his knees, given that he’s had multiple ACL surgeries dating back to college.

Kikaha, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Saints back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $5.266 million contract that included $3.199 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Kikaha has appeared in four games and recorded two tackles and two sacks for the Saints.

We’ll have more regarding Kikaha as the news is available.
