According to Pro Football Talk, the Saints are signing RB Matt Dayes to a one-year deal.
To make room on the roster for Dayes and the signing of RB Javorius Allen, the Saints also waived RB A.J. Ouellette and DB Jordan Wyatt.
Dayes, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Browns back in 2017. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season, but was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the 2018 preseason.
The 49ers signed Dayes to their practice squad in October and promoted him to the active roster in November. He was waived by San Francisco earlier this month.
In 2018, Dayes appeared in seven games for the 49ers and totaled 17 kick return yards.
