Saints Signing UDFA CB David Simmons & WR Cyril Grayson

According to Josh Katzenstein, the Saints are signing North Park CB David Simmons following his tryout at rookie camp this past week.

In his senior season at North Park, a college in Chicago, Simmons recorded 62 total tackles, one forced fumble, one recovery, one interception and eight pass defenses. He also blocked six kicks his senior season and finished his career with 11 total blocked kicks.

Grayson, 25, hadn’t played organized football since 2011 when he was still a senior at Rummel High School in the New Orleans. However, Grayson was a standout track star at LSU and a seven-time All-American on both indoor and outdoor tracks. He also won four national championships on relay teams.

Grayson signed with the Seahawks as a free agent in 2017. He has also spent time with the Texans, Colts and Bears. Grayson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
