The New Orleans Saints officially waived veteran G John Greco on Wednesday.
This creates a roster spot for DT John Hughes, who has been re-signed to their active roster.
Greco, 32, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2008. After three years with the Rams, Greco signed on with the Browns and has spent the past six years in Cleveland.
Greco was entering the final year of a five-year, $13.2 million contract and was set to make a base salary of $975,000 this season when the Browns cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
The Saints signed Greco to a contract last month.
In 2016, Greco appeared in 12 games for the Browns before being placed on the season-ending injured reserve.
