Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com reports that the Saints are “working feverishly” on a contract extension that would prevent WR Marques Colston from hitting the open market.
Florio also add that Colston wants to stay in New Orleans “badly.”
Colston has said in the past that he wasn’t willing to give them a discount but if this report is accurate, he could have made some adjustments to his asking in the hopes of remaining with the Saints.
