Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Saints working to re-sign veteran RB Tim Hightower.
Hightower was a great story last year and was a much more effective player than many anticipated him being after his long layoff.
Hightower, 29, wound up signing with the Saints last year after being out of the NFL three years. He’s once again in position to be an unrestrited free agent this offseason.
In 2015, Hightower appeared in eight games for the Saints and ran for 35 yards on 96 carries (3.9 YPC) to go along with 12 receptions for 129 yards receiving and four total touchdowns.
