Seahawks Activate TE Ed Dickson From IR, Waive CB Jamar Taylor

The Seattle Seahawks officially activated TE Ed Dickson from injured reserve on Wednesday and waived CB Jamar Taylor.

Here’s the Seahawks updated practice squad:

  3. S Ryan Neal
  4. DB Linden Stephens
  5. DB Brian Allen
  6. TE Tyrone Swoopes
  7. OT Chad Wheeler
  8. WR Penny Hart
  9. DT Bryan Mone
  10. LB Pita Taumoepenu

Dickson, 32, is a former third-round pick by the Ravens out of Oregon in the 2010 NFL Draft. He is entering the second year of a three-year, $10.7 million contract and is set to earn a $3.3 million base salary in 2019.

Dickson played out his three-year rookie contract in Baltimore before re-signing to a one-year deal as a restricted free agent. He signed a three-year deal with the Panthers in 2015 and finished out his contract before joining the Seahawks last year. 

The Seahawks placed Dickson on injured reserve coming out of the preseason.

In 2018, Dickson appeared in 10 games for the Seahawks and recorded 12 receptions for 143 yards receiving (11.9 YPC) and scored three touchdowns.
