Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Seahawks are hosting free agent DL Ahtyba Rubin for a visit on Wednesday.
Yesterday, reports had said that Seattle was hosting DE Anthony Spencer and DL Chris Canty this week, so it’s clear that the Seahawks are in the market for veteran defensive linemen.
Rubin, 28, played out his four-year, $26.5 million contract with the Browns that included $18,000,000 guaranteed.
In 2014, Rubin appeared in 13 games and recorded 28 tackles, one sack, and a pass defense for the Browns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 74 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
