Seahawks In Talks With QB Tarvaris Jackson About New Deal

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said during a radio appearance on the Dave Softy Mahler Show that they’re in contract talks with QB Tarvaris Jackson about re-signing him.

“I hope so, we’re in talks,” Carroll said in response to having Jackson back as their backup quarterback in 2015, via Dave Softy Mahler.

Jackson, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Vikings back in 2006. He spent five years in Minnesota before departing for an opportunity with the Seahawks.

He has spent the past two years with as Russell Wilson‘s backup, so it really wouldn’t come as a big surprise to see them get a deal done, as it would maintain continuity at the position.

In 2014, he appeared in just one game and completed one pass for zero yards.
