The Seattle Seahawks announced Wednesday that they’ve placed Gย Oday Aboushi on injured reserve and promoted LB Paul Dawson to their active roster.
- The Seahawks also signed LB Jason Thompson to theirย practice squad.
The Seahawks’ practice squad now consists of:
- TE Tyrone Swoope
- DB Mike Tyson
- QB Trevone Boykin
- DB Akeem King (Injured)
- LB Kache Palacio
- G Willie Beavers
- OT Isaiah Battle
- WR Cyril Grayson
- DT Garrison Smith
- LBย Jason Thompson
Aboushi, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jets back in 2013. He spent two years in New York before he was cut loose and later claimed of off waivers by the Texans a few weeks into the 2015 season.
Aboushi played out the final year of his four-year, $2.359 million rookie contract before signing aย one-year, $975,000 deal with the Seahawks as a free agent this past March. He’s in line to once again test the open market as an unrestricted free agent in 2018.
In 2017, Aboushi appeared in eight games for the Seahawks and is rated byย Pro Football Focus as the No. 60 guard out of 76 qualifying players.
