Seahawks Promote WR Keenan Reynolds, Waive DB Shalom Luani

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll announced Tuesday that they’re promoting WR Keenan Reynolds to their active roster on Tuesday with Doug Baldwin dealing with a new injury, per Bob Condotta.

The Seahawks officially waived DB Shalom Luani.

Reynolds, 24, was selected with the No. 182 overall pick by the Ravens back in 2016. There was some question as to whether he would be allowed to differ service time to play in the NFL but the Naval academy decided that he could defer his military service.

Reynolds was on and off of the Ravens’ practice squad during his rookie year and returned to the team on an exclusive rights deal last past April. Baltimore once again cut him loose coming out of the preseason and he spent the year on the Redskins’ practice squad.

The Seahawks signed Reynolds to a contract in May before adding him to their practice squad at the start of the regular season.

During his four-year college career at Navy, Reynolds threw for 4,001 yards while completing 52.4 percent of his passes to go along with 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also contributed 4,559 yards rushing on 977 attempts (4.7 YPC) to go along with 88 touchdowns.
